Saturday February 7 2009 - Gold Coast, Queensland

Mad Dog Racing today officially announced their team driver line up for both the AusFactor and ADF-Team 2009 V8Factor seasons commencing this month.

"We are pleased to be able to confirm that MDR will field a 5 car Ford team in the AusFactor series consisting of Richo1, Triggerfish, Maxcat, DLegend, and myself." stated team boss MDR-Quasi, at the low key function at team headquarters on the Gold Coast.

"This is fundamentally the team which recently won it's group championship, in the V8 Team Series, and took third overall for that competition, narrowly missing out on a grand final birth to battle it out for overall honours", he continued. "The only absence from that team series line up is Yap, who saw an opportunity to run his own team, and we sincerely wish him all the best in the coming season, over at AusFactor."

In addition to the announced team was the news that Quasi will also run a single entry in the ADF-Team 2009 V8Factor season commencing February 12. When asked if this would strain team resources, having an impact on the team's performance in the AusFactor series he replied "No, not at all. I'll be punting around in a spare car left over from 2008, that we've revamped at minimal cost. As far as expenses throughout the ADF season, well.....we already have the crew, parts, and equipment, that would sit dormant otherwise, so really we're just using what is already there....and running the second series gives added exposure and value to the team's sponsors."

Financing certainly doesn't appear to be an issue at MDR in a time when many teams are feeling the pinch, and even some series, such as the Australian Porsche Cup, are folding. All drtivers are tight lipped over contract arrangements, but none seem to be doing it tough, as the team continues to compete in a variety of motorport catagories.

"Yeah, we are still running a two car team in the FVRV8 series, with Maxcat up to 7th in that championship and myself in 9th, and we are looking seriously at Formula Nippon, not to mention our three car entry into Nascar."

This reporter can only imagine the bidget being made available to the team by 2009 sponsor 'Aussie Web Radio' who have appeared from nowhere to ensure MDR grow as a force in rFactor competition.
