After four months and eight
tracks, across eight countries, the 'Arnall Trophies
Endurance Series' for the formula nippon category has
reached a thrilling end, after a final round that had three
drivers in contention for outright championship honours.
After seven rounds a mere
handful of points covered the top three contenders,
promising an exciting finale to the series that kicked off
on April 18, at Laguna Seca, and made it's way around the
globe.
ORA-Maxcat, WMS-Old Frt,
and WMS-Adsta found themselves in a nail biting stand off
for points, whilst each also fighting off a late season
charge from Richo1, who's prescence in the top 4 became
a reminder to those ahead on the championship ladder that a
DNF could have meant not making the podium.
The top three, however, managed a calm
and methodical run to the flag, finishing in the order they
sat in the points, though spread throughout the field,
diffusing what most saw as a neck and neck fight to the
chequered flag, with top spot, and title of 2009 champion
going to ORA-Maxcat.
